This fragrance was released by Yves Saint Laurent, a French fashion house that is also abbreviated as Ysl. This house was founded by Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent. Laurent began his career at age 17 when he assisted Christian Dior. After serving in the Algerian War of Independence, he opened his own fashion company in the 1960s.
